The Cat in the Hat - Join the Cat in the Hat as he makes learning to read a joy! It’s a rainy day and Sally can’t find anything to do . . . until the Cat in the Hat unexpectedly appears and turns their dreary afternoon into a fun-filled extravaganza! This beloved Book by Dr. Seuss, will come to life through dance, puppetry, and of course, juggling.
Caps for Sale - In Chatty's adaptation of this popular tale, children in the audience are cast as mischievous birds who steal Chatty's hats when she dozes off. Complete with the briefest of auditions and rehearsals, this production allows children to re-enact a beloved tale and actively engage as the stars of the show.
In Wonderland - The clock is spinning and you’re finding yourself down a rabbit hole and into Wonderland. Cadence is a tale of a young girl feeling bored and drowsy while sitting and listening to her sister reading her a story. She then notices a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat and a pocket watch. Cadence follows the rabbit down a hole and is brought into the magical world of Wonderland just in time for tea with the Hatter.
Science is Magical - A mad scientist magic show that is gear towards all ages! By using both magic and science in the show, audience members will learn to be able to distinguish the difference between both magic and science and be shown how science is indeed quite magical.
Out the Box - This 45 minute silent show will surely impress. With mime, magic and object manipulation as a storytelling piece, you will want to see more. Out of the box tells a story of everything Chatty seems to be able to fit into her suitcase and the excitement she brings as she shows the audience what's inside.
Chatty the Mime and Cadence Count offer group and individual classes in juggling, hat tricks, tap dance, and ballet for children and adults. Classes focus on building character by increasing frustration tolerance and confidence. Students will learn the history and cultural origins along with skill building drills and combinations choreographed to jazz standards or contemporary music. Classes can be taught in workshop format (single occurrence) or as an ongoing series culminating in a performance.
